National Social Kobast provided significant support by donating 180 books to the Shingal Library, which was established by the youth of the region.

It is evident that after the destruction of Shingal due to the ISIS war, the local youth, with a strong will, began the process of reconstruction and the restoration of Kurdish culture. Within these efforts, they established a library to promote reading and knowledge within the community. Therefore, we consider it our duty to continuously participate in reviving the culture and intellect of our people. The library administration gratefully received the books from our foundation and expressed their hope that National Social Kobast remains a continuous supporter. According to information, this library currently needs a larger number of books to better serve the readers and youth of Shingal. Thus, it is planned to launch a book collection campaign for this library in the coming months.

The head of the National Tribes Council of the National Social Kobast, Mr. Mam Dara Haji Ibrahim Charmaga, accompanied by senior members of the council, recently held several important meetings with a number of tribal leaders and social figures in Kurdistan during various visits and inspections.

In these meetings, the importance of unity and cooperation among all segments of society was discussed, especially in an era when Kurds need more unity and partnership. We must unite around a common goal and support each other, regardless of all religious and intellectual differences. The project of unifying Kurdish tribes is not just an organizational effort, but the beginning of a new stage of national struggle based on trust, unity, and shared goals. Currently, the National Tribes Council and relevant members are busy with preparations to hold a general tribal congress. This congress is expected to include broad representation from all tribes and segments of Kurdistan. The goal of this congress is to coordinate efforts, strengthen unity, and establish a common path for the national future. At the end of the meeting, it was emphasized that according to the intellectual philosophy of National Social Kobast, we are striving to build a united, stable, and strong future for Kurdistan. Not only the tribes, but the entire Kurdish people must have a presence in this social and national organization.

Anfal

An unforgettable memory of our people, the day of the Anfal crime committed by the Ba'ath regime against the Kurdish people.
We respectfully commemorate the bitter memory of the genocide and the crime of an unhealed wound in the body of our nation. Anfal is a catastrophe that will forever remain in the living conscience of our people. With loyalty, we remember this painful day and make it an opportunity for further commitment to protecting public interests and achieving the rights of the people.
Anfal was not just a crime, but an attempt to erase the identity and existence of a nation.
Immortality to the martyrs of Anfal and dignity to their resilient families.

The 35th Anniversary of the Great Uprising of Rania City.

Today, we stand in a glorious memory, the 35th anniversary of the great Kurdistan Uprising. The resilient and powerful city of Rania lit the first torch of that uprising, making it a symbol of the freedom and will of a nation.
Rania is the city that wrote its history with the blood of martyrs and the bravery of its people; a city that became the center of hope for the uprising and a symbol of resistance. Therefore, we proudly say that last year, in our grand forum, we granted the title of "Capital of Revolutions" to the city of Rania, as it truly deserves this title and more.
In those historic days, the people of Rania taught a lesson of courage and unity to the people of Kurdistan.
Today in Kurdish history is a new message for the future; a message of unity, peace, and national responsibility.
On this occasion, we extend our warmest congratulations to the respected and resilient people of Rania and all the people of Kurdistan. We hope the anniversary of the Uprising becomes a reason to renew our pledge for unity, for protecting our achievements, and for creating a better future for the next generations.

This stage is a great test; if we handle it with unity and strategic thinking, we can turn threats into opportunities and create a stronger position for Kurdistan within the regional and international equations.

This stage of direct conflict between Israel and Iran is not just a military clash, but a profound shift in the regional power balance that has placed the entire region in an unstable and sensitive situation. The targeting of high-ranking leaders, threats to move the war to the Gulf region, and pressure on the Strait of Hormuz indicate that the conflict has reached a strategic phase where states, without masks, base their decisions on survival interests and security.
Within this complex equation, Iraq stands in a sensitive position; on one hand, it has security relations with the United States, and on the other, the influence of Iran-aligned forces continues within the country. This could turn Iraqi territory into a field for proxy wars and political and missile pressure. At the same time, rising oil prices create economic opportunities, but without political and security stability, these opportunities cannot lead to sustainable growth.
For the Kurdistan Region, this crisis is a historical test. The geopolitical importance of the Region, the presence of coalition forces, and the proximity of borders are sensitive factors that could place this area within the circle of threats if it is perceived as an indirect participant in the equation.
Therefore, a policy of balance, logic, and intelligence is not a temporary tactic, but a national survival strategy. The Region must not align itself with any party; instead, it must adopt active diplomacy, internal political unity, and a unified defense force to avoid becoming a battlefield for proxy wars.
Although this crisis carries great risks, it can become an opportunity if we handle it with awareness and unity. Kurds can elevate their strategic importance if they present themselves as a stable and reliable region, strengthen their institutions, unify their defense forces, and expand international relations. In a world where the balance of power shifts rapidly, a region with political stability and balance becomes an important and strong partner.
We, as a national force, decide to make the protection of internal peace, political unity, and high national interests the source of all our steps. We believe that participating in proxy wars is not the solution; Kurds must not place themselves in any external equation. The solution lies only in balance, awareness, and establishing a strong internal force.

Kurdistan's national security, which is now in serious and sensitive danger, requires careful vigilance and evaluation

The people of Kurdistan are generally committed Muslims, and Islam is a central and fundamental part of the cultural, social, and historical identity of this nation. However, any effort that starts under the name of "protecting the sanctities of Islam," chanting slogans, organizing protests, or conducting an organized campaign, often does not align with the realities of Kurdish society and the history of the Kurdish national struggle. In 2014–2017, the people of Kurdistan were among the greatest victims of ISIS terrorism; thousands of Peshmerga and civilians were martyred or wounded, and the Peshmerga forces and the Kurdish people played a primary and unique role in defeating that extremist organization. Today, the security forces of the Kurdistan Region and Rojava are constantly monitoring and confronting the remnants and cells of ISIS, having struggled for decades alongside allies against the threats of this extremist group. In this context, creating a fake internal enemy — by linking legitimate civil grievances to religious extremism or ISIS remnants — poses a very serious threat to national unity and social stability. Such efforts open the door for ISIS militants to return from Syria to the region, especially at a time when security developments in Syria (such as the Damascus government's attacks on Kurdish areas and the escape of ISIS prisoners) have increased the real danger. Simultaneously, it is a factor in weakening social unity and deepening internal conflicts. Along with this, it facilitates foreign intervention and leads to the weakening of independent decision-making and national security. It reduces public trust in security institutions and leads to the distancing of citizens from security forces. Security and intelligence agencies must carefully evaluate these efforts, protect the difference between legitimate civil grievances and organized extremist attempts, and make every effort to protect national unity, social stability, and counter the threats of terrorism. Protecting Kurdistan's national security is a sacred and shared duty; only through vigilance, unity, and careful evaluation can we face these dangers and protect the supreme interests of the people of Kurdistan. Joint Statement of National Tribes

We, as representatives of the national tribes of Kurdistan, have gathered in an important meeting to express a unified position and raise the voice of honor and the identity of the Kurdish people. Over the past few weeks, attacks by the Syrian government on Kurdish areas, especially in Kobane, Hasakah, Raqqa, and their surroundings, have continued. Kurdish towns and villages are under heavy bombardment and siege; citizens, especially children, women, and the elderly, are suffering from hunger, cold, and disease. Thousands have been displaced, and there is a great threat to the physical and cultural existence of the Kurdish people in this part of Kurdistan. These attacks are not just a war for land control, but an organized effort to weaken and destroy the achievements that the Kurdish people have gained with their blood against ISIS terrorism. We, the tribes of Kurdistan, announce our unified discourse:
1. We strongly condemn all attacks by the Syrian government and its affiliated militias. We call on international and humanitarian parties to intervene immediately to stop the bloodshed. We are forming a communications committee to coordinate with external parties.
2. We provide full and unconditional support to the people and defense forces of Rojava. We call for national unity and the participation of Kurdish youth from all parts of Kurdistan to protect our identity. The National Tribal Council will lead the participation in the mobilization campaign announced in Rojava.
3. We call on tribal chiefs and youth to organize material and moral support campaigns in their regions: sending food, medicine, and money to the war zones will be our primary task.
4. We emphasize that Kurdistan is one piece; if Rojava is in danger, all of Kurdistan is in danger. Therefore, all Kurdish forces must be united.
Manliness and bravery are the foundations of our tribes. If we remain silent today, our identity will be destroyed tomorrow.
We have no one but ourselves! Let the voice of unity rise from every village and city. Life for the people of Kurdistan!

We bow in respect to the martyrs of the Republic of Mahabad and all the martyrs of Kurdistan

Today, on the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Republic of Kurdistan in Mahabad, on behalf of the National Social Kobast, we extend our warmest congratulations to all Kurdish people. This holy republic, founded under the leadership of Peshawa Qazi Muhammad, was the first historical step towards expressing the will and independence of the Kurdish nation. In the current situation, while all of Kurdistan is under pressure, especially Rojava which is in a historic struggle against the attacks of the Syrian government, the memory of the Mahabad Republic is a new source of hope and strength. The struggle in Rojava is part of the same holy path of the Peshawa and the martyrs.

Religion and patriotism should not be put on separate scales

Sayyid Riza of Dersim, Sheikh Ubeydullah Nehri, Sheikh Mahmud Barzanji, and Sheikh Said Piran are clear examples of those who balanced religion and Kurdish identity and were the voice of the people, not allies of the enemy. Throughout the history of Kurdistan, whenever powers tried to use religion as a tool to oppress Kurds, religious leaders stood at the forefront. Protecting the homeland is a general duty. Those clerics who speak against Kurdistan from the pulpits do not serve the nation. The attacks on Rojava are against Kurdish identity, not religion. Religion has never been an obstacle to patriotism.

Rescuing women and honorable men, today, November 25

Today is the day of uprising for all humanity to combat violence against women. Although women have been respected and leaders in our society, this day is also part of the days of struggle for Kurdish women against all types of violence imposed by the enemy's system and power through planned schemes on the family and Kurdish identity. .
National Social Kobast, which emerged spontaneously and naturally since July 13, 2024, has one main goal: to rescue Kurdish society from the brink of destruction. In this context, protecting Kurdish identity, raising the sanctity of the family, extinguishing fratricide, and reuniting all classes regardless of party or ideology are among the holy and national goals of National Social Kobast. .
In the heart of this great movement, women are the first and primary force of National Social Kobast. Therefore, we established a large and independent council for women, managed by women themselves, where they decide with their own intellect and will. Women of Kobast go through two important processes: self-education and self-recognition, self-judgment, and stripping the mind and actions of ugly traits. Fighting oneself is the hardest war, but in Kobast, we have started that war. Our goal is to create good personalities with will and a living society. In these few months, hundreds of women from all tribes, cities, villages, and countries have joined voluntarily. .
And today we proudly announce that we have also established the "Mothers of Peace Kobast" group, a group that makes Kurdish mothers leaders of reconciliation for families, tribes, and cities. Because mothers are the great force of life, the force of generosity and kindness, the force of national reconciliation. They can stop the violence in this country, they can amend laws, and they can realistically protect the soil and land of this nation. .
Today, on behalf of National Social Kobast, we loudly declare: Killing a woman is a great crime, and settlement (Sulh) is never allowed in criminal cases. I invite every Kurdish woman, every mother, every sister, every daughter: Come and become a member of the Kobast Reconciliation Center and the Mothers of Peace Kobast group. Become the rescuer of the nation, because you are not a victim, you are the owner of Kurdish historical dignity. Today we start the great revolution of women's peace. .
We make women decision-makers, not victims; we make them leaders, not followers of foreign feminism. We protect the family, because a weak family = a weak Kurdistan. Life for Kurdish women! .
Life for the Mothers of Peace! .
Success for National Social Kobast! .
Success for a united and peaceful Kurdistan!

On behalf of National Social Kobast, we extend our congratulations to all the people of Kurdistan on the occasion of the 241st anniversary of the founding of the city of culture and coexistence, for Sulaymaniyah has always been the fortress of struggle and coexistence in Kurdistan.

Sulaymaniyah is not just a city, but a social and political force that, by the will of its people, has stood against oppression and injustice. Since its founding, this city has been a refuge for freedom seekers and the foundation of Kurdish unity, recording a history full of victories. Every individual in Sulaymaniyah is part of this social struggle for justice. This city is a society full of activity; with its stances, Sulaymaniyah has paved a new path for progress. On this day, we bow in respect to the martyrs who gave their lives for the freedom of Sulaymaniyah and Kurdistan. Let Sulaymaniyah always remain as the reason for the togetherness of Kurdistan and the political and social unity of Kurds... because Sulaymaniyah is the capital of Kurdish survival. .
From its very beginning, with a strong will and a heart full of hope, through modern struggle and tireless love for art, the national goals of Kurds were achieved within it. .
National Social Kobast is the product of the national spirit of the Kurdish people in the heart of Sulaymaniyah. we were born in this city, we grow here, and we faithfully sacrifice our lives for its soil. .

In the framework of our efforts to support the families of Kurdistan's martyrs, the president and senior members of the National Social Kobast, accompanied by a group of religious scholars and local elders, paid a friendly and sympathetic visit to the family of the immortal martyr Mama Risha in the Garmiyan region. This visit, as a sign of respect and appreciation for the sacrifices of the martyrs and the dedication of their families, held significant social and national importance

The immortal martyr Mama Risha was one of the Kurdish fighters who, in the 1980s, fully dedicated himself to defending the land and nation of Kurdistan. He fiercely resisted the attacks of the Ba'ath regime and was martyred with unparalleled sacrifice. His family, who have lived under economic and social challenges during the years following Mama Risha's martyrdom, have always held a special place in the heart of Kurdistan as a national treasure. Mardin Jalal, Head of the National Social Kobast, Participated in the Second Conference of Caucasus Kurds

Ms. Mardin Jalal, Head of the National Social Kobast, participated in the Second Conference of Caucasus Kurds in Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia, upon a special invitation from Zaza Kalashov, the General Coordinator of the conference.
During the conference, the Head of the Kobast elaborated on the establishment, achievements, and working principles of her institution. She stated:
"The National Social Kobast was established for national unity and common ground, and working towards the unification of Kurds in all parts of the world, especially the Caucasus countries. We pledged to the Kurdish associations and institutions in the Caucasus that, from now on, working on the Kurdish community in the Caucasus countries will be part of the National Social Kobast's agenda."
"Caucasus is not just a geographical region; it is a part of our nation's heart and history. From the 19th century until today, this region has been a refuge for thousands of Kurds, and today it is once again becoming a field for return and national struggle."
The Head of the National Social Kobast also emphasized in the conference:
"The National Social Kobast was created for this national unity. Artificial divisions and borders could not separate Kurds because we Kurds possess our common culture, traditions, art, and language. We are the indigenous people of the region, so neither ourselves, nor our culture, nor our language can be eradicated by oppression, killing, Anfal, or genocide. When we speak of Kurdistan, we still only refer to four parts, but the Kurds of the Caucasus are also a large part of Kurdistan that has continuously been subjected to attempts of assimilation and annihilation."
"The Kurds of the Caucasus have a strong history and a pure struggle. In Armenia, Kurds have been concerned with language and culture. In Georgia, in Tbilisi and Batumi, Kurds are known for their culture and cultural activities; in Russia, they have preserved their national voice. In Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan, attempts have been made to eradicate them, but Kurds are like spring; no matter how many leaves fall, they revive in spring, because they have strong, resilient, and historical roots. Overall, we Kurds need unity in every corner. We will succeed through unity; the Kurdish community must reorganize itself and continue its existence with strong readiness. The Caucasus must once again become a region for national connections among Kurds. This is not a simple goal; it is a historical and moral duty. Because when the Kurdish people unite and preserve their cultural and social unity, the artificial borders of our enemies will become meaningless."
The National Social Kobast believes that the development of national work is not only through speeches and messages but through real struggle and great field work.
Finally:
The National Social Kobast, in its vision, will become one of the main forces for this social and cultural development. The institution of the National Social Kobast believes that the development of national work is not achieved only through messages and speeches, but through struggle. Kurdish national unity is not a political fantasy; it is the foundation of a life of peace and freedom.

This analysis by lawyer Mardin Jalal, head of the National Social Kobast, is a manifesto that invites Kurdish women from every tribe, family, and region of Kurdistan, from south to north, from east to west, to begin a new struggle to create a vibrant, just, conscious, and unified society. From now on, the task of social reconciliation is the primary duty of Kurdish women. Eliminating conflicts between political and social parties, extinguishing internal wars and fratricide, is a responsibility entrusted to women. Kurdish women must play a role with their own will and decision in Kurdistan's golden stage.

Today, within the framework of establishing the "Kobast Center for Reconciliation," which was founded as part of the goals of the National Social Kobast to empower women and resolve social issues in Kurdistan, we analyze this topic to demonstrate a strong history full of leadership by Kurdish women. The vision of the National Social Kobast is a new manifesto for the struggle of Kurdish women, and all women of other nations will benefit from it. It is very clear that this vision, within a new philosophical framework, is based on Kurdish traditions and culture, so that Kurdish women can once again see their leadership and pioneering role. Through their struggle based on the principles of the National Social Kobast, we are creating a special kind of women's struggle for all women of the world, in accordance with the nature of the Kurds and the environment of Kurdistan. Since freedom is the main slogan of women's revolutions worldwide, it is important to have a good understanding of the term and content of the word "freedom." From our perspective, freedom has no absolute definition that we can all strive for uniformly. However, what all women agree on regarding the absoluteness of freedom is that it is the work of conscious and intelligent individuals. For some of us, freedom might mean having a place in the highest administrative positions of government and making our own decisions. For others, freedom might mean being able to raise our children with our own hands without interference from those around us. Achieving both aspects makes us happy in different ways. But in each of these, how much do I take steps with my feminine will, with my own intellectual thinking, with my own decision? Therefore, in the pursuit of freedom, getting to know ourselves is very important. We must be able to evaluate ourselves, analyze our good and bad sides. If we want to be free individuals, we must develop our good sides and judge our undesirable traits and thoughts that harm ourselves and our society. We must not be afraid to correct ourselves and review our actions, because cowardly, selfish, and opportunistic people can never talk about freedom, or they become slaves to small and worthless acts, or they become slaves to their interests and blow with the wind. The Kobast Reconciliation Center must start this self-judgment and be fearless in self-criticism and correcting our own shortcomings. When we first began our human and social struggle, with the aim of spreading the Kobast vision within our families, tribes, relatives, and acquaintances, many of our close ones confronted us. Today, as Kobast has grown very large and widespread, forming its councils in all cities and towns, and in most countries, this is the result of respecting our own decisions. A successful woman is a woman with her own decisions. The woman who determines her own path and has her own will and decision is the woman who continuously educates herself and develops herself. What I want to point out is that if you want to be successful and exist, you must sacrifice for it, you must strive for it, you must stay up late for it, and above all, you must have self-confidence. Therefore, self-education and regaining our self-confidence and strength is one of the tasks we must fulfill. Otherwise, a weak woman, a woman who does not believe in herself, a woman who lacks complete knowledge and does not know herself, cannot achieve the dream of true freedom, cannot create a free family and society, and cannot spread her respect, kindness, and love from within herself to the entire society. Today, the National Social Kobast is organizing itself across all segments. We do not want to separate a part of the social organization of Kobast based on gender, whether male or female. However, it is important, just as our academic and experienced political figures organize themselves in the National Council, and religious scholars in the National Council of Religious Scholars of Kobast, and tribal chiefs and social figures in the National Tribal Council of Kobast, and youth similarly, that we announce this center based on the character and peaceful, kind attributes that embody the essence of women. Kobast women will manage this national center of Kobast, and at the same time, they can include peace-loving men as a symbol of reconciliation and the spirit of kindness as members of the National Reconciliation Center. The establishment of this center, which demonstrates the true essence of Kurdish women, is necessary and important. Because Kurdish women have always played an important and central role in their nation's history of struggle. When we talk about the role of Kurdish women, it was not merely a secondary role, but they played a role as leaders and pioneers. Our historical and current situation assessment will serve as guidance for the struggle we have started at the Kobast Reconciliation Center. Kurdish women must understand the truth that the National Social Kobast will be a strategic gateway for gathering the superior and positive strength of Kurdish women from all classes and segments, with all their religions and ideologies, for education, empowerment, and resolving issues in a fair and appropriate manner in accordance with Kurdish traditions. It will set its own plans and strategies. Kurdish women have historical foundations and a past. On this basis, they must provide an example of a true struggle to the women of the world through social reconciliation. No woman can succeed outside her home without the consent of every single member of her family. Therefore, creating free men is the duty of women. They must create understanding and mature sons, husbands, and brothers so that they can talk about freedom. Prioritizing family and family education must be among the primary tasks of the Reconciliation Center. A woman who cannot manage her family with a mature and peaceful mind cannot lead successfully outside either. Kurdish women, by the nature of Kurdish society, without striving for it, have been leaders and pioneers. When Kurdish women were at the peak of governance, European women were deprived of their rights. Historical sources show us that Kurdish women have played a key role in advancing society since the beginning of sedentary communities. Early villages emerged in the Mesopotamian region (Tigris and Euphrates), and sedentary life began. Kurdish women in these villages created tools for progress, taught people domestic life, introduced the use of dishes, pottery, and ceramics, established families, and spread respect and love. They also laid down laws and managed society. This shows that today's modernity, which the capitalist system advocates, is unfounded and for self-interest, built on the foundations of global powers, where women are organized as a commodity and a propaganda tool of that system, and under the name of democracy and protecting human rights, they have made gender balance and feminism merely a way to detach women from their essence, distancing them from their families, their societies, and their homelands. This does not mean that we belittle the struggles of other nations; on the contrary, every revolution has recorded a historical value in its own stage, which was specific to the social reality of that society. What is unusual is that Kurdish women want to struggle for something they already have. Kurdish women themselves possess the original and primitive modernity of humanity. When Kurdish women were at the peak of governance, European women were deprived of their basic rights and treated as slaves. Even now, human society is on the verge of a historical fall. Kurdish women, through the struggle of the National Social Kobast Reconciliation Center, can become the saviors of all humanity, protecting the sacredness of individuals and the importance of families and societies. This historical task rests on the shoulders of Kurdish women. I invite women's organizations: come and abandon being appendices to international women's organizations. What are the environment, land, traditions, language, clothing, and foundation of the Kurds? Based on these, let us all organize ourselves in this kobast, not just women, but Kurdish women must show the entire Kurdish society a path to a true life, beyond gender struggle, based on a true national citizenship, let us have our organization and struggle. Kurdistan needs social and national struggle. We have Qadam Khair, Adila Khanum, Mastura Khanum, Khanzad Mir of Soran, the daughters of Badr Khan, Hapsa Khan Naqib, Zaki Alkan, Layla Qasim, Layla Zana, and Hero Khan. We have Jina Amini. That's why our ancestors said, "When a lion comes out of the bush, whether it's female or male, there's no difference." This history must be preserved and developed, not only in Kurdistan but as an example for the women of the region. The Kobast Reconciliation Center strives to revive this history and empower women to play a leading role in society, not within the framework of external feminist movements, but based on Kurdish culture and tradition. The National Reconciliation Center is a collector of the experiences of all Kurdish women and a spark in the social revolution of the National Social Kobast.

Today, September 16, 2025, marks the third anniversary of the martyrdom of Martyr Zhina Amini, who is the pride of all the Kurdish nation.

The National Social Kobast respectfully remembers this girl of ours. Zhina was martyred under torture and violence by the occupying Iranian regime and became the torch of a global human revolution. She became a gateway for a great social uprising in the Middle East. The Kurdish people, in their history, have had dozens of female leaders, guides, and heroes. Today, Kurds, led by brave and courageous women, as always, lead the defense and ignite the spark of a revolution against oppression and tyranny. Zhina was a key identity for leading this human revolution that transcended national and homeland boundaries and the philosophy of freedom throughout the world. We, as the National Social Kobast, according to our national, human, and social objectives, highly value Zhina's practical activism and freedom revolution. We fully support this revolution and, on this occasion, call on all parties to unite their voices to protect the honor of the Kurdish nation and achieve justice for Zhina's case and all killings against the Kurdish nation. Undoubtedly, those days are near when the National Social Kobast will turn all the oppressions committed against the Kurdish nation into a national file and present them to international courts and those powers and allies who speak of human rights and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and who, through their international agreements, have condemned Kurds to annihilation, assimilation, and destruction throughout the centuries. We once again bow our heads in respect and reverence to the martyr of freedom, Zhina Amini, and all martyrs of Kurdistan.

Message from the President of the National Social Kobast on the anniversary of the victims of the Badinan Anfal genocide

The crime committed against the Kurdish people under the name of Anfal is a deep wound in the heart of each of us. The Anfal genocide was not just a crime against humanity, but a systematic attempt to destroy the identity, culture, and existence of the Kurdish people. On this anniversary, with national fervor and a spirit full of responsibility, we bow our heads in respect and reverence to the pure souls of the martyrs of Kurdistan and the victims of Anfal. They have, with their blood, preserved the treasure of freedom and independence for our people. The National Social Kobast, as a true national force, is committed to the historical responsibility it bears. We, on behalf of the families of martyrs and Anfal victims, as representatives of the conscience and will of the people, once again inform the federal government of Iraq that it must fully fulfill its legal and constitutional duties in the Anfal case. In this regard, we will take serious action and legal steps to ensure that full material and moral compensation is provided to the families of Anfal victims, the martyrs of Kurdistan, and all Kurdish people. The National Social Kobast, as a pioneering national and social movement, is founded on the principles of equality, justice, and love of homeland. Our primary mission is to achieve the national rights of the Kurdish people at an international level, in a manner worthy of the sacrifices of this people. We will continue to serve the families of martyrs and Anfal victims, and with all our strength, we will strengthen our efforts to recognize these crimes as genocide at the international level. We will bring this historical case to international court, as a legal front that will bring justice to the Kurdish people, because these crimes are not only against the Kurdish people, but they are crimes against human rights and a violation of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. At the National Social Kobast, with unwavering dedication, we are committed to preserving this historical trust. As representatives of the people's will, with unity and high determination, we will continue our efforts for the supreme goals of our people, which converge in the love of homeland, justice, and independence. The Kurdish people have endured all hardships at all times and places, and the blood of martyrs and Anfal victims is a living testament to this truth. We promise that the National Social Kobast, as the torch of national struggle, will continue to achieve justice and the rights of our people.

Speech by the President of the National Social Kobast, Lawyer Mardin Jalal, at the meeting with the Women's Organizing Council of the Kobast in Garmian areas

Dear ladies, beloved members of the National Social Kobast, today we gather here, as always, to renew our sense of patriotism and our commitment to our humanitarian and national duties. The National Social Kobast was established as an intellectual and social gateway, always serving the people and homeland of Kurdistan, becoming a symbol of unity and togetherness. We are here to collectively use our strength and capabilities to protect and advance Kurdish identity, especially to support those strong women who, throughout our people's painful history, have become images of resilience and pride. One of these strong women is Mrs. Shawqiya, whose stories from Kifri to Sulaymaniyah are like an open book of struggle and sacrifice. As a survivor of Anfal, who has endured a series of severe tragedies in the difficult stages of her life, she visited the Kobast office with a meaningful project and met with us. That visit was a clear sign that the Kobast is the hope of thousands of Kurdish women, and a sign of our continuous national efforts to develop and strengthen society. We promised her that the Kobast would support her steps in every way, because this is a national and humanitarian duty that we have never ceased to uphold. Dear ladies, you are the main strength of this Kobast. We ask you to become a wing and a force for the women survivors of Anfal, for the sisters, mothers, and families of the martyrs of Kurdistan, those whose hearts have burned and whose homes have been destroyed for the sake of the homeland. The Kobast must become a national embrace, giving them warmth, kindness, and morale, so that these women do not feel alone and know that a society stands behind them. We must play the role of family for all those women who have suffered pain and oppression due to their national struggle. The National Social Kobast, through its activities such as the conference on combating violence against women in Baghdad, as well as its forums in the cultural capital and its forums at Sulaymaniyah University and Rania, and the Barzin Conference, as well as the project (What national project do you have in your MP's file?), and the messages on the anniversary of Anfal and the Treaty of Lausanne, has shown that it is ready to undertake great responsibilities in all fields. This patriotic stance of ours, evident through our actions and practical efforts, emphasizes that patriotism is not just speeches and slogans, but is manifested in practical and real support for women like Mrs. Shawqiya, who are living images of resistance and national selflessness. Finally, the National Social Kobast, as a pioneering force, continues to build a vibrant society full of patriotic spirit. Our steps, such as supporting Anfal victim women and activists like Mrs. Shawqiya, indicate that the Kobast is not just an institution, but a strong ideology for the people and homeland, always at the forefront. I ask you, as women of the Kobast, to continue on this path and become the pillar that gives morale and hope to all those women who have made great sacrifices for Kurdistan. Thank you for your presence and patriotic efforts.

This movement participated in the Iraqi parliamentary elections on May 12, 2018, and won two seats. The National Alliance aims for democracy, justice, and national coexistence, and in the region, it places great importance on solving social and economic problems as a significant political force. This meeting is of particular importance because it was held with the aim of coordination between the National Social Kobast and the National Alliance. Both sides worked together on how to strengthen cooperation to confront social problems, reinforce national stances, and protect social security, especially in the city of Sulaymaniyah, which is considered the cultural capital of the Kurdistan Region and an important social and political center. This coordination can pave the way for advancing social projects, protecting community security, and reducing negative phenomena such as violence, which serves the general interests of the community. This visit and meeting indicate that both sides are committed to working towards resolving social issues and strengthening their relations to achieve common goals. The meeting is considered an important step for strengthening cooperation between social institutions and political movements in the Kurdistan Region, with the aim of creating a stable and advanced society.

Message from the President of the National Social Kobast on the Anniversary of the Barzani Anfal

Message from the President of the National Social Kobast on the Anniversary of the Barzani Anfal... Today, on the 42nd anniversary of the Barzani Anfal, we respectfully bow our heads to the victims of that great crime, a historical catastrophe carried out against our people by the Iraqi Ba'ath regime. Anfal, named after a Surah in the Quran, was a planned attempt to erase the national identity, culture, and existence of the Kurdish people. Between 1986 and 1989, under the leadership of Ali Hassan al-Majid, the regime aimed to exterminate the Kurds through chemical weapons, village destruction, and systematic massacres. Approximately 50,000 to 182,000 people were martyred, thousands of villages were destroyed, and a million people were displaced. From Halabja to Jafayati Valley, from the Fayli Kurds to the Barzanis, Anfal left deep wounds in the body of Kurdistan. But the Kurdish people, with their will, proved that no oppression can disrupt our national existence. Anfal was not just a massacre; it was a policy of Arabization and demographic destruction of Kurdistan. In 1983, 8,000 Barzanis were buried alive, 215,000 Fayli Kurds were forcibly displaced, and thousands of villages were completely destroyed. This catastrophe, evident through chemical weapons as in Halabja (1988), revealed a world full of brutality against our people. Today, the Kurdish people need to continue their national struggle with greater unity and awareness, making the remembrance of Anfal a catalyst for strengthening national unity and preserving our identity. We Kurds must defend our language, culture, and traditions, as these are the foundation of our existence. Furthermore, we must continue our efforts for compensation for the victims' families and prosecuting the perpetrators in international courts. The National Social Kobast, which announced the Council of National Interests at the second Rania Forum, aims to raise national awareness, document catastrophes, and mobilize society to serve supreme interests. We call on political forces to prioritize national interests above all differences, and we call on our fellow citizens to elevate their national struggle within the National Social Kobast. Dear compatriots, today, defending our land and nation expresses the preservation of our customs and traditions, our diverse cultures, the greatness of our families, and the protection of their dignity from external cultures, languages, and traditions. Let us, together, under the shadow of the National Social Kobast, move towards a more prosperous future with unity. Let us make the memory of our victims a torch to raise our national defense.

On the 102nd Anniversary of the Signing of the Ominous Treaty of Lausanne, we appreciate Sharif Pasha's national efforts and express our regret in the face of the spirit of this strong leader.

It is the anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Lausanne, which was signed in 1923 in Lausanne, Switzerland, and led to the division of Kurdistan's land and the violation of the basic rights of the Kurdish people. For 102 years, Kurds have been subjected to Anfal, displacement, and genocide under the dark shadow of that treaty. This treaty, which was carried out without the will of our people, became the source of a century of oppression and injustice for our nation. On this day, we highly value Sharif Pasha's role in confronting the Treaty of Lausanne. Sharif Pasha (1865-1951) was a prominent Kurdish figure who served as a diplomat and political administrator during the Ottoman Empire. He participated in the Paris Peace Conference (1919) and the Treaty of Sèvres (1920) as a representative of the Kurds. At the Paris Conference, Sharif Pasha submitted a memorandum requesting Kurdish independence or extensive autonomy within the borders of the Ottoman Empire. He tried to define a map for a Kurdish state that would include parts of present-day Iraq, Turkey, and Syria. However, unfortunately, internal opposition and lack of support were major factors that led to the annulment of the Treaty of Sèvres by the Treaty of Lausanne, leaving the Kurds without support. In that era, Sharif Pasha was a skilled leader with strong nationalistic ideas. Sharif Pasha had strong ties with Britain, France, and other Allied powers who had won World War I. He sought to gain the support of these powers for the Kurdish cause, especially Britain, which had influence in Iraq. Initially, the Treaty of Sèvres had created a good opportunity for this. This treaty, signed between the Allied powers and the Ottoman Empire, provided an opportunity for the Kurds to establish an independent state. Its articles stipulated that if the Kurds could demonstrate that they were a majority and could govern themselves, the League of Nations could declare Kurdistan's independence. Sharif Pasha played a key role in securing these articles. However, due to lack of support from the Kurds themselves, he was unable to succeed. Today, on this anniversary, all these struggles must be turned into a strong experience. A great hope has emerged for Kurds in the field of politics and diplomacy. Kurdistan's relations with the outside world are continuously growing and strengthening. Today's discussions in France, with the participation of countries such as the United States, Britain, and France, are another important sign that Kurds are actively participating in international agreements. This opens a new door for Kurdistan to gain more international support. While seizing important opportunities, we must consider our past experiences where we did not show necessary foresight. It is a historical reality that in other international treaties, such as the Treaty of Sèvres in 1920, which promised independence to the Kurds but later failed in Lausanne, our experiences tell us that our relations with the international community require internal unity and strong diplomacy. To gain international support, we Kurds must continue to strengthen political ties and international coordination. In the current situation, Kurds are participating in discussions at the France meeting with major powers. This is a clear indication that the international community attaches importance to Kurdistan's position. These meetings, supported by the United States, Britain, and France, are opportunities for us Kurds to advocate for our rights and raise the level of our relations. These diplomatic steps are symbols of a brighter future, where we can gain stronger international support through greater unity and coordination. As the National Social Kobast , all our efforts are aimed at ensuring that our homeland Kurdistan is protected and that another Lausanne does not happen again.

Third National Social Kobast Forum at Sulaimani University

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. This forum, supervised by the National Social Kobast and organized with the support of Sulaimani University, presents a beautiful scene where government officials, social figures, intellectuals, university professors, tribal chiefs, villagers, women's organizations, and religious scholars have gathered together, appearing as a united Kurdish family. This unity signifies that Kurdish society, with all its differences, can come together on a common ground to solve problems and build a better future. Why did the National Social Kobast deem this forum necessary? Because it places great importance on solving social problems. Recently, the National Social Kobast held a broad network forum and announced the "Unified Social Discourse" project. The first step of this project was the creation of the National Tribes Council, aimed at solving all social problems afflicting Kurdistan. Therefore, we believe we should not overlook the issues that weaken our society. In the past, parents were respected; now we send our grandparents to nursing homes. Families used to be united and strong; now they are fragmented. The souls of individuals used to be protected; now we find newborns in dumpsters. Kurdish men and women used to live with dignity; now, day by day, we lose our sacred values. Young men used to be honorable, courageous, brave, and bold; now some of them we don't even know which gender they belong to. Sons used to use weapons to defend their land and honor. Unfortunately, what was once a tool of defense is now used for murder and crime within families. Waves of foreign cultures, such as the exchange of women and trafficking of women and children, have weakened Kurdish society, especially among youth, who face drug abuse and alienation from national traditions, becoming a source of problems. On the other hand, a wave of exchange and trafficking of women and children has brought with it the greatest catastrophe. Therefore, instead of Sheikh Mahmoud and Professor Ibrahim Ahmed, and instead of Hapsa Khan Naqib, Adila Khan, and Leila Qassim, repulsive puppets have been created, specifically with the aim of deepening social problems and corrupting the morals and ethics of Kurdish society. This makes our task as the National Social Kobast, and all conscious national parties and figures, more difficult, requiring us to solve these problems with unity and a strong program. These problems are the result of the influence of external cultures. We must not forget that Kurdistan's enemies, especially neighboring countries and political and ideological forces, continuously strive to create social, political, and economic problems to weaken Kurdish unity. Along with this, our enemies constantly try to create reactions among Kurds, such as differences between tribes and urban dwellers or political parties, which reduce national unity. These problems, which are systematically created externally to weaken and destroy the Kurdish people, require national unity and social solutions, such as social reconciliation and the National Tribes Council, to protect Kurdish society and defend our cultural identity and traditions. Solving social problems lies between social reconciliation, led by tribal chiefs, and the judicial system. This topic is of particular importance at a time when Kurdistan is facing new social challenges. Social reconciliation, with its deep roots in our Kurdish traditions, and the judicial system, with its formal legal foundation, are both distinct ways to solve problems. In this forum, we will compare these two approaches, highlighting their advantages and disadvantages, and defining the role of the National Social Kobast, especially the National Tribes Council, in solving these issues. Social reconciliation is not just about solving problems; it works on them before they reach the level of crime. Reconciliation means that Kurds, with all their components, live together as one family on this land. It strengthens trust among us, preserves our social relationships, and provides a peaceful environment for a problem-free life. Hundreds of social cases have been resolved secretly, in a short time and at low cost, preserving the dignity and honor of individuals. Meanwhile, the judicial system, due to crowded courts and numerous problems, often takes years and incurs high financial costs. Social reconciliation, on the other hand, through religious leaders and tribal chiefs, resolves problems quickly and amicably. Through reconciliation, problems are solved in a short time and at low cost. Family and social relationships, which are very important in Kurdistan, are protected from harm. Reconciliation is more compatible with our Kurdish culture and traditions because it resolves problems through dialogue, and discussions are conducted secretly, thus preserving the dignity of individuals. The environment of reconciliation is calmer and less confrontational compared to the harsh environment of courts. Reconciliation creates a more united society, which reduces reactions. Despite these advantages, social reconciliation has some negative aspects that we are working on in this project. For example, the lack of a formal legal system in reconciliation councils can reduce seriousness. In social reconciliations, if the parties are not equal in power, agreements can be unfair. Reconciliation agreements lack legal force for enforcement, meaning their decisions may not be implemented because there is no legal binding. Furthermore, social reconciliation is not suitable for serious crimes such as murder, terrorism, drug offenses, and treason against the nation. In contrast, the judicial system is a formal and legal program that has the power to protest and enforce. Decisions are made based on official laws and regulations, which increases seriousness and commitment. The judicial system strives to ensure equality and justice for all parties. Furthermore, court decisions are binding and can be enforced forcibly. The judicial system is suitable for major issues. For serious crimes or complex problems, the judicial system is a more appropriate approach because the legal rights of individuals and society are systematically protected. In judicial complaints, all processes are recorded, which can be used as a legal source. However, the negative aspects of the judicial system are that court processes often take a long time, sometimes years. In addition, the expenses of lawyers, court fees, and other costs for both the plaintiff and the defendant become a heavy burden on their shoulders, often leading them to withdraw from their case. Also, in the judicial process, relationships are damaged because it often creates rivalry and animosity between the parties to the lawsuit. Regarding the confidentiality of cases, unless the matter is very scandalous, which depends on the judge's temperament, most court cases are public, and issues can become public. In the judicial system, absolutely one party to the lawsuit leaves the case heartbroken, which increases hatred and animosity between the parties and increases feelings of revenge and crime after court decisions. Often, this revenge ends in murder and defamation after several years. On this basis, we are preparing a draft law for the establishment of a Social Court Council. In this project, it is important for the Kurdistan Parliament to work seriously on it and for the Ministry of Justice to support it. Reconciliation councils must be formalized, and in addition to social figures, religious and legal persons, women's organizations, and all civil political organizations must be present at these reconciliations. These councils must be granted legal force. The work of these councils will be difficult and illegal if the judicial system does not support them. We have been working on this project for three months, and in another two months, the National Social Kobast will work on it. In a comprehensive meeting of all segments of society, we will scrutinize our project in detail and submit it to the relevant party. Hoping for everyone's support for the national work and steps of the National Social Kobast.

Meeting of the President of the National Social Kobast with a Number of Personalities

Today, March 17, 2025, the President of the National Social Kobast met in the Kobast's office with a number of social figures, religious scholars, and tribal chiefs from the Sulaymaniyah area. During the meeting, Ms. Mardin Jalal, President of the National Social Kobast, focused on the role and position of tribes in Kurdish society. Throughout history, tribes, as revolutionary, tireless, and socially influential figures, have played a central role in all Kurdish revolutions. Tribes cannot be marginalized because they are a fundamental foundation of Kurdish society and possess a strong authenticity. However, moving forward, they need to make strategic changes in their work to keep pace with rapid societal and technological changes. She also discussed the necessity of establishing a committee of protectors for each tribe, whose primary duty would be to assist their tribal members. This committee can resolve internal issues, especially those concerning girls and women, in a way that prevents them from escalating to crime and bloodshed. The rapid changes that have emerged in Kurdistan due to technology and changing lifestyles have also disrupted the fabric of families and tribes. Therefore, the committee of protectors can act as a bridge to resolve issues internally. The President of the National Social Kobast stated that tribal chiefs need to categorize their relatives to identify those in need of assistance. Wealthy members of the tribe should be asked to give their charity and alms to their own relatives. This not only reduces poverty but also strengthens the relationships between tribal members, fostering a greater sense of unity. Finally, they discussed an important project, and all attendees engaged in an intense discussion on the topic, deciding to implement the National Tribes Council of the Kobast in the near future.

Visiting Shiites to Discuss the Marriage of 9-Year-Olds

The Shiites, descendants of the Islamic Caliph Ali ibn Abi Talib, were a moderate and progressive movement in Islamic history. Our Prophet (peace be upon him) was raised and nurtured by his uncle Abu Talib, meaning Ali's father. Ali was one of the first companions of Islam and strived to promote Islamic thought. He was completely against social violence. He was a peace-loving and reformist figure who opposed authoritarian rule and oppression. Therefore, today, Shiite adherents must undertake this responsibility and prevent the politicization of social issues. For this purpose, the National Social Kobast participated in Kirkuk in the Ashura ceremony of Hassan and Hussein. We engaged in a friendly and solution-oriented discussion with Shiite women to block the draft law that the Shiite faction has brought to the Iraqi parliament, aiming to amend the personal status law and obtain a majority signature to make it law. This law paves the way for the normalization of killing and violence, and in this regard, children and women will suffer.

1. Efforts should be made to include drug awareness and its dangers in the educational curriculum from elementary school to university as an educational subject.
2 Through the Ministry of Culture, efforts should be made for every television and radio channel to dedicate a portion of their programs to public awareness. It is worth noting that immediately after the meeting, all participating organizations filled out joint membership forms with the international Oviedo organization to work together as a confederation in this field.
